The winner and finalists are selected by a committee of independent scientists, chaired by Science\u2019s Senior Editor, Dr. Peter Stern. Researchers who are not older than 35 years are invited to apply.<\/p>\n<p>The winner receives<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prize money of <strong>US$ 25,000<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Publication in Science of an essay by the winner about his\/her research<\/li>\n<li>Full support to attend the Prize Ceremony held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience in the USA<\/li>\n<li>An invitation to visit Eppendorf in Hamburg, Germany<\/li>\n<li>Up to three finalists are honored, too!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application deadline: 15 June 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"bodytext\"><b>Rules of eligibility <\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Entrants must be neurobiologists with an advanced degree received in the last 10\u00a0years and not older than 35 years of age.<\/li>\n<li>The entrant&#8217;s essay must describe contributions to neurobiological research based on methods of molecular and cell biology.<\/li>\n<li>The entrant must have performed or directed the work described in the essay.<\/li>\n<li>The research must have been performed during the previous three years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For more information on the prize, the application\u00a0process and judging procedure click here:<\/strong> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/click.aaas.sciencepubs.org\/?qs=248c3c704d151c885b2cec7c2f2de88809439813d1763841e2a0b3ff76a42d72ec77427e09882721330f200ebbf869b2259394cef582c81f\" target=\"_blank\">www.eppendorf.com\/prize<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The annual Eppendorf &amp; Science Prize for Neurobiology is an international award which honors young scientists for their outstanding contributions to neurobiological research based on methods of molecular and cell biology.
