Following his graduation in 2013 he decided to leave Science and take an entire year off to explore the world with his backpack. Prior to the trip he had already secured a position with McKinsey to start as an Associate in their Hamburg Office upon his return. In 2017, after almost three years with McKinsey, he joined a Start-up Consulting company &#8211; <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Stonehaven Consulting (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stonehaven-consulting.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Stonehaven Consulting<\/a> &#8211; as a Partner and is enjoying his new role ever since.\u00a0His talk will focus on his experiences during his time in G\u00f6ttingen which ultimately allowed him to pursue a career as Strategy Consultant including a description of what that entails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>Date:<\/strong> Friday, Dec 13, 2019<br><strong>Time:<\/strong> 14-16h<br><strong>Location: <\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/lageplan.uni-goettingen.de\/?ident=1524_2_EG_0.232\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>GZMB building, Justus-von-Liebig-Weg 11, seminar room 0.232 (ground floor)<\/strong><\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> For organizational reasons<strong> please write a short email to <a href=\"mailto:career@gauss.uni-goettingen.de\">career@gauss.uni-goettingen.de<\/a> if you plan to attend.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>About the sessions: <\/strong>Our  Career Impulse Sessions offer a  platform for interactive and informal  exchange about career-related  topics for PhD students and Postdocs in  the Life and Natural Sciences.  By inviting PhD holders with different  career paths, we would like to  illustrate the broad range of potential  careers for PhD students and  postdocs and give inspiration for career  choices.
