We are happy to announce our next GAUSS Career Impulse Session with Dr. Markus Strasser (Merck<\/span><\/a>)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Markus is an alumnus of our Molecular Biology MSc\/PhD program. He performed his doctoral thesis in the Zebrafish lab of Prof. Erez Raz at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry and finished his PhD in 2007. After his PhD he started his professional career in Switzerland as a sales representative for the oncology portfolio at Sanofi-Aventis. After 2,5 years he switched to Merck and moved to marketing as a Product Manager Oncology. In 2016 he was promoted to lead the Swiss Oncology unit as Business Unit Director Oncology, leading the marketing and sales team. In 2019 he got the opportunity to move to a headquarter position as marketing director for a new oncology product to prepare the global launch. Now he is back in Switzerland where he changed from a commercial into a medical role as Manager Medical Strategy & Operations. In this function he oversees all medical affair activities across different therapeutic areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
