We are happy to announce our next GAUSS Career Impulse Session with Dr. Irena Andreeva (<\/strong>BioNTech<\/strong><\/a>): <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irena is an alumna of the Molecular Biology MSc\/PhD program. She performed her doctoral thesis in the lab of Prof. Marina Rodnina at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry and finished her PhD in 2016. Prior to her PhD and Master Thesis in G\u00f6ttingen, she did her bachelor in molecular biology  at Sofia University \u201cSt. Kliment Ohridski\u201d, Bulgaria. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After one year of postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry and a short postgraduate advanced training in Cologne, Irena moved to Mainz and joined BioNTech SE (at that time RNA Pharmaceuticals) as a scientist. Since 2020 she has been holding a leadership position as an Associate Director overseeing the development of new RNA manufacturing processes. Irena will share insights and challenges into working in a company, which is growing at lightspeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
