Although I have some first ideas whom to invite or how to do these sessions, I would appreciate your support in preparation. So here is my <em>Call for Supporters<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>You are<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 eager to bring <strong>variety to your daily lab work<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 willing to meet for at least <strong>1 hour<\/strong> (for planning issues), and<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 keen to take over <strong>small tasks <\/strong>before and\/or during the session (e.g., inviting a guest speaker, moderating discussion, ringing a bell).<\/p>\n<p>Being part of such an organizing team will enable you to<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 invest in your <strong>career<\/strong>,<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 build new <strong>skills <\/strong>by taking over non-scientific responsibilities, and<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 <strong>network <\/strong>with potential guests and other postdocs.<\/p>\n<p>Suggested topics are:<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 Leading a Research Group: View of an Experienced Group Leader<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 Being a Researcher and a Mother: Learning from Experiences<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 <a title=\"ScienceCareers - Speed Networking\" href=\"http:\/\/sciencecareers.sciencemag.org\/career_magazine\/previous_issues\/articles\/2009_06_12\/caredit.a0900075\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Speed Networking<\/span><\/a>: Getting to Know the Scientific Background of other Postdocs<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 Working for a Publisher<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in specifying one of the topics and\/or discussing the concept of one of the sessions <strong>together with me<\/strong>, please write me an e-mail!
