Ideally, participants should plan to start applying for a grant <strong>within the next 6 months<\/strong>. Therefore, it is crucial that you already have an idea about the research topic and possible funding bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Date: <\/strong>Monday and Tuesday, 13-14 November 2023, 9:00-15:00 h; <br>plus 3h pre-teaching prior to the workshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Location: <\/strong>online <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Trainer: <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uni-goettingen.de\/en\/585922.html\">Dr. Thomas Koch<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Registration<\/strong>: Please <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gauss.uni-goettingen.de\/career-registration\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>register here<\/strong><\/a> (in case you are not yet registered) and send an <strong>email to <\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:career@gauss.uni-goettingen.de\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>career@gauss.uni-goettingen.de<\/strong><\/a> including a <strong>short statement on your motivation<\/strong> to attend the workshop. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Workshop description<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>By participating in workshop, you will be better equipped to<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>identify funding\nopportunities for different research settings,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>understand what makes\na fundable research project,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tailor your case for\nsupport to meet the evaluation criteria,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>structure and schedule\nthe writing process,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>move from smaller to\nlarger grants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This compact, yet highly interactive workshop employs theoretical input, plenary discussions, individual and small group work, experience sharing and expert advice.
