To facilitate information and experience exchange among postdocs with family responsibilities and with those who want to be prepared, we invite to a Career Impulse Session on how to effectively combine professional and family life.
Date: 28 November 2013, 14:00-15:30 plus 30 minutes for open networking
Place: GZMB building, Justus-von-Liebig-Weg 11, small seminar room 0.233 (basement)
The session will start with an input on more general information such as formal issues, services, and infrastructure (prepared in cooperation with the family service of the University of Göttingen), followed by a more personal perspective of a postdoc telling about her experience as researcher and mother. Afterwards, we open the discussion and exchange of information and experience.
In order to prepare the room and to organize something to eat and to drink, please write an e-mail to the coordinator (ggnb-career@gwdg.de), if you plan to take part in the session. Nevertheless, spontaneously joining is possible.
