I already pointed out the importance of knowing yourself to catch recruiter’s eye. Assessing your skills, interests and values is an important basis for many career decision, might it by changing your career path or improving your competitiveness in a current career path. An instrument for individual self-assessment, I already introduced on the blog, the MyIDP. However, performing self-assessment and making conclusions based on it is more fun – and from my perspective also more effective – with support from experienced trainers and peers. The Academic Human Resource Development of the University of Göttingen is offering three workshops on “self-assessment and career planning” this year.
Based on identifying your current competencies, interests and values, you will learn about opportunities for development and plan your next career steps.
