Besides doing research in Academia or Industry, PhD holders are welcomed in different positions in science management. The science manager Dr. Helene Schruff studied comparative literature and holds a PhD in philosophy. After receiving her doctorate she began working with the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) in Bonn as program officer, later program director for research centers. In 2007 she changed to the Administrative Headquarters of the Max Planck Society in Munich.

After introducing herself in more detail, Helene Schruff will give an overview on the various options as a science manager. She is looking forward to your questions and a more individualized discussion, too, preferring a more interactive type of meetings.

For organizational reasons, please write me an email (ggnb-career@gwdg.de), if you consider taking part. Thanks!
