Why communicate? How? And when?
The course will start with a brief overview of media relations and science communication. We will identify formats, stakeholders, as well as goals, and talk about the “public understanding of science”, recent changes in technology and media, and about their effect on communication.
The course includes examples (be prepared to write a short piece about your project) as well as an overview of the University’s Public Relations Department.
Target Group: Postdoctoral scientist and late-stage PhD students who want to get a better insight into media relations and science communication.
