GAUSS Career Impulse Session (24 Sep 2021, 14:00-15:30) with Dr. Kai-Hsin Cathie Chan (Scitaris): “Science-based strategy consulting for the pharmaceutical industry”

We’re happy to announce the last part of our September trio of GAUSS Career Impulse Sessions, this time with strategy consultant Dr. Kai-Hsin Cathie Chan from Scitaris.

About the speaker: Cathie is an alumna of the Molecular Biology MSc/PhD program. After graduating from the National Taiwan University College of Life Sciences, she earned her Master’s and PhD degree in the lab of Prof. Marina Rodnina at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry.

Following a bridging Postdoc, Cathie moved to Berlin to join the rapidly growing biopharma strategy consulting firm Scitaris, where she leverages her analytical and communication skills to provide science-based strategy for clients in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Cathie will talk about the wide range of consulting projects in the field pharmaceutical R&D, where they intersect with the skills learned during a PhD project, and share her experience of life as a consultant.
